Acknowledgement
- I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my Doctoral advisor, Prof. Daniel Lokshtanov, who has one of the most brilliant minds, while treating us as his own children. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all my labmates who supported me in both my research and my life: Huairui Chu, Ajaykrishnan E S, Úrsula Hébert-Johnson, Vaishali Surianarayanan and Xiongxin Yang.
- I am deeply indebted to Prof. Hu Ding, who led me to the world of academia and theoretical computer science. I gratefully acknowledge all the professors who guided me through my undergraduate study.
